AI inside Establishes “XResearch” for R&D and Social Implementation of Generative AI and LLM, Providing the Alpha Version of a 14 Billion-Parameter Japanese LLM Service

Tokyo, June 8, 2023 –  AI inside Inc., which promotes the democratization of AI by providing AI infrastructure, announces the establishment of “XResearch,” which performs R&D and social implementation of generative AI and LLM (Large Language Models). “XResearch” will enormously facilitate the commercialization of services utilizing generative AI and LLM, with the Representative Director, President, and CEO Toguchi leading the R&D and commercialization.

In addition, “XResearch” has already developed “PolySphere-1,” a 14 billion-parameter Japanese LLM service; the alpha version will be available to companies and organizations as of June 8, 2023. Further updates will be made for “PolySphere-1” to achieve the utilization of advanced generative AI and LLM.

Generative AI and LLM have recently gained attention, However, in many cases, they are yet to be applied to business use. They require specialized knowledge and technology for implementation and operation and must also address the risk of information leakage from a security perspective. Companies and organizations need to be able to develop acceptable policies and environments. “Polysphere-1” solves these issues by providing a secure and dedicated environment that enables AI and LLM operations generated under each individual company’s usage objectives and environment and by promoting integration with other public clouds.
