AI inside and Daiwabo Information System Signs a Distributor Agreement

Enhancing “DX Suite” Sales to Small and Medium-Sized Companies Through a Network of Approximately 19,000 Partners

Tokyo, November 7, 2023 –  AI inside Inc., a provider of an AI platform, announces the signing of a distributor agreement with Daiwabo Information System Co., Ltd (hereinafter referred to as “DIS”), one of Japan’s largest trading companies specializing in IT-related products. This agreement enables the provision of the AI-OCR service “DX Suite” to end users throughout Japan through the 19,000 partner companies of DIS. “DX Suite” will be available on DIS’s subscription management portal, “iKAZUCHI,” starting December 1, 2023.

AI inside plans to add various new features utilizing generative AI to “DX Suite” and offer them as “DX Suite Extensions,” beginning in December 2023. Through this agreement, we will further expand the sales of “DX Suite,” the leading AI-OCR service in Japan^*, and promote the business use of generative AI.

Background

In Japan, amid a growing shortage of workers due to a shrinking working-age population, reforms in work styles are being promoted to improve productivity and add more value to business operations. One of the technologies that have contributed significantly to these efforts is the AI-OCR. AI-OCR reads bills, receipts, and other forms received in paper, image, or PDF formats with high accuracy and converts them into digital data, thereby streamlining form management tasks that used to be performed by manual input.

AI inside’s original AI-OCR service, “DX Suite,” has been implemented in more than 2,600 companies and has acquired the No.1 market share in Japan^*, contributing to the productivity improvement and work style reforms of many companies, especially enterprises. We are promoting the establishment of a system to widely provide “DX Suite” to more companies, including small and medium-sized businesses, to further solve the workforce shortage in Japan.

Details of initiatives

AI inside has signed a distribution agreement with DIS. This agreement enables the provision of the AI-OCR service “DX Suite” to end users, including enterprises and small and medium-sized companies throughout Japan, through the 19,000 partner companies of DIS.

“DX Suite” will be available on DIS’s subscription management portal “iKAZUCHI” and will be distributed by DIS’s partners from December 1, 2023. “iKAZUCHI,” a system for DIS partners, reduces the person-hours required for order placement for diversifying subscription-type cloud services and unifies the management of contracts of continuous stock business, such as monthly and yearly charges, and contractors. Being available on “iKAZUCHI” enables AI inside to improve the efficiency of partners’ administrative operations.

About “DX Suite”

“DX Suite” is a service that digitizes all kinds of documents, featuring “Intelligent OCR” built with AI inside’s originally developed “character recognition AI” and “Elastic Sorter” for sorting large volumes of forms by format. “Intelligent OCR” reads even handwritten characters with high accuracy, which had been challenging for conventional OCR to read, and automates the digitizing operations that were previously done manually.
