FAQ

  • Service Overview

    What is DX Suite?

DX Suite is an AI-powered document reading tool from AI inside that turns paper forms and PDFs into usable data. Our industry-leading technology accurately recognizes even handwritten text and complex forms, then converts them into structured formats like CSV files. This eliminates manual data entry, helping businesses save time and reduce errors.

Which companies benefit most from DX Suite?

While DX Suite works for any industry, it's especially popular in finance, manufacturing, logistics, and outsourcing (BPO). If your team spends hours typing data from forms, applications, invoices, or reports, DX Suite can transform that process. Companies handling large volumes of paperwork see the biggest benefits, as it eliminates the bottleneck of manual data entry.

How does DX Suite compare to other OCR solutions?

Our main advantage is superior accuracy, particularly with handwritten text and mixed-format documents that trip up standard OCR tools. We've been battle-tested in major financial institutions, handling diverse document types with precision. We offer both cloud and on-premises options to fit your security needs and volume requirements. Our standout feature is "Item Extraction" powered by generative AI, which can intelligently locate and capture key information even from non-standard documents.

How does the generative AI feature work?

Our generative AI technology makes DX Suite exceptionally flexible with non-standardized documents. For example, when processing invoices from different vendors (each with their own unique format), the system intelligently identifies and extracts the information you need – like totals, dates, and vendor details – regardless of where they appear on the page. You can then use our "Data Processing" feature to format this information exactly how your systems need it.

What's the difference between cloud and on-premises versions?

Our cloud version is web-based and always features our latest updates and improvements. The on-premises option (AI inside Cube) installs a dedicated processing unit in your facility, ideal for situations requiring maximum security or processing extremely high volumes at top speed. The versions run different builds of DX Suite, so consider your priorities: if you need the latest features, go with cloud; if security and processing power are paramount, on-premises might be best.

What types of documents can DX Suite process?

DX Suite handles virtually any business document you throw at it, including:
    - Invoices and receipts
    - Application and request forms
    - Work reports and inspection records
    - Timesheets and attendance logs
    - Government certificates
    - Purchase orders
    - Delivery notes
Both standard and non-standard formats work great, and we offer 13 ready-to-use templates for common document types to get you started quickly.

    How accurate is the system?

DX Suite can read anything that's legible to the human eye, with industry-leading accuracy rates. Our handwriting recognition is particularly strong – something many competing systems struggle with. That said, document quality matters; clearer documents with good resolution yield better results. We recommend testing with your actual documents to see firsthand how well it works with your specific materials.

  • Pricing Plans

    How does pricing work?

DX Suite uses a straightforward subscription model with annual contracts and monthly billing. You'll pay a monthly base fee (which includes a processing allowance) plus usage charges if you exceed your plan's allowance. We offer three tiers – Lite, Standard, and Pro – each with different monthly fees and included processing volumes. This way, you only pay for what you need.

How do I choose the right plan?

    Consider these three key factors:

    1. Monthly document volume: Lite for smaller volumes, Standard or Pro for larger workloads
    2. Complexity of your documents: Pro is more cost-effective when extracting many data points per page
    3. Support needs: Standard and Pro include comprehensive onboarding support

    As a rough guide:
    - Lite: Up to 3,000 pages monthly with 10 or fewer data points per page
    - Standard: Up to 5,000 pages monthly with about 10 data points per page
    - Pro: 10,000+ pages monthly with 20+ data points per page

Our online calculator or trial program can help you determine the perfect fit.

How does the usage-based billing work?

"Request volume" is how we measure your usage – it represents how much processing power you've consumed, expressed as a yen value. Each plan includes a free allowance; you'll only pay extra if you exceed it. For instance, with the Pro plan (¥200,000 monthly):

    - Using ¥150,000 worth of processing: You pay just the ¥200,000 base fee
    - Using ¥320,000 worth of processing: You pay ¥320,000 total (base fee plus ¥120,000 overage)

This flexible model ensures you're never paying for capacity you don't use.

    How is my usage calculated?

The calculation depends on which feature you're using:

    1. For standard reading functions (defining areas or using templates):
Number of data points × Pages × Rate
    - Text fields: Lite ¥3/field, Standard ¥1/field, Pro ¥1/field
    - Non-text fields (checkboxes): Lite ¥3/field, Standard ¥0.5/field, Pro ¥0.1/field

    2. For AI-powered extraction or full-page reading:
Pages × ¥10 (same for all plans)

    Example: Processing 100 pages with 20 text fields using Pro plan = 20 × 100 × ¥1 = ¥2,000 of usage.

How does the free allowance work?

Think of your free allowance as a processing credit that resets monthly. It automatically applies to your usage before any extra charges kick in. For example, the Pro plan includes a ¥200,000 allowance with its ¥200,000 monthly fee.

If you use ¥150,000 worth of processing in a month, it all comes from your allowance with no extra charge. Unused allowance doesn't roll over to the next month. If you start mid-month, we'll prorate your allowance accordingly.

    Can I try before buying?

Absolutely! Our "Success Program for DX Suite" is a one-month paid trial for ¥200,000, which includes ¥200,000 of processing credit. This gives you access to all features (including premium ones) plus dedicated support to help you set up and test with your actual documents.

The trial includes expert assistance setting up your document templates and verification using your real business documents. This hands-on approach ensures you'll know exactly how DX Suite will perform in your environment before committing. Just submit an application form to get started.

Can I keep my trial setup if I decide to purchase?

Yes! If you subscribe within one month after your trial ends, you'll keep your entire environment – all your settings, templates, and configurations stay intact. We may even offer a discount on your setup fee if you continue (time-limited offer). Contact our sales team for current promotions and details.

  • Features

What are the main ways to capture data?

DX Suite offers four powerful approaches to fit different document types:

    1. Area selection: Simply draw boxes around the information you need – perfect for company-specific forms with consistent layouts.

    2. Quick templates: Choose from 13 pre-configured templates for common documents like invoices and receipts – just select and go.

    3. Smart extraction: Enter the information you're looking for (like "invoice total" or "delivery date"), and our AI finds it anywhere on the page – ideal for processing varied document formats.

    4. Full-page capture: Digitize entire documents with a single click, even creating searchable PDFs from image-only files – great for contracts and technical documents.

You can mix and match these approaches for maximum efficiency with different document types.

How can I connect DX Suite to my existing systems?

We provide free APIs that let you integrate DX Suite seamlessly into your workflows. You can build automated processes that:

    - Pull documents directly from designated folders
    - Process them through DX Suite automatically
    - Save the extracted data as CSVs in your target locations

This creates an end-to-end solution from document scanning to data processing to importing into your business systems. We'll provide detailed API documentation after you sign up. Note that while we supply the APIs, you'll need to handle the implementation on your end.

Can multiple teams use the same account?

Absolutely! There's no limit to how many users you can add, and different departments can all work from the same DX Suite account. For example, your accounting team can process invoices while HR handles employee forms – all using the same system but with separate workflows.

You can set different permission levels, creating admin accounts for managers and regular access for team members. This makes it easy to track usage by department while maintaining appropriate security controls.
