AI inside and 77 Bank Launches a Joint Project for Generative AI Implementation
AI Implementation Consulting Team “Inside X” Supports Management to Promote Data-Driven Management
Tokyo, November 10, 2023 – AI inside Inc., a provider of an AI platform, announces the launch of a joint project of generative AI implementation with The 77 Bank, Ltd. (hereinafter referred as “77 Bank”) for the purpose of achieving greater efficiency and sophistication of banking operations that the 77 Bank promotes.
In this project, AI inside’s AI implementation consulting team, “Inside X,” will support management for multimodal generative AI implementation from strategy development, requirement definition, and assessment to AI operation from the perspective of company-wide optimization. “Inside X” is an AI implementation consulting team for upper management that has brought together professionals with a deep understanding of AI technology and its commercialization; the collaboration will not only significantly improve productivity but will also promote a value shift, shifting the human work hours saved by operational efficiency to high-value-added, high-level operations, including new business creation. It will contribute to the productivity doubling and corporate culture reform strategy outlined in 77 Bank’s management plan, “Vision 2030.”
Background
With the decline in the working-age population, companies in Japan face a growing shortage of workers. Given these social trends, 77 Bank has been working to maximize the value of its human resources and business under its “Vision 2030” management plan, which includes strategies to double productivity by improving operational efficiency and a method to reform corporate culture by investing in human capital and strengthening the human resource system. To achieve these goals, 77the Bank is focusing on increasing the efficiency and sophistication of banking operations through the active use of AI and other digital technologies.
Details of initiatives
AI inside will launch a joint project of generative AI implementation with 77 Bank to achieve greater efficiency and sophistication of banking operations that the 77 Bank promotes. In this project, the AI implementation consulting team “Inside X,” an AI implementation consulting team for upper management that has brought together professionals with a deep understanding of AI technology and its commercialization, will support management. From the perspective of company-wide optimization, the team will apply AI technologies and expertise acquired through the development of AI inside’s original LLM “PolySphere-1” and the AI agent “Heylix” for the implementation of generative AI to the various bank operations, from strategy development, requirement definition, and assessment, to AI operation.

In Japan, only 7.8 % of business persons continuously use generative AI at work (as of the July 2023 survey)*1. Even those who constantly use it, often use services such as ChatGPT with their default features. In this project, “Inside X” supports the implementation of multimodal generative AI toward the use of structured and unstructured data, as well as business applications and SaaS data. It will significantly improve productivity and promote a value shift, shifting the human work hours saved by operational efficiency to high-value-added, high-level operations, including new business creation. We will stimulate these initiatives by leveraging our experience building advanced security based on our achievements in introducing AI to financial institutions and local governments.
AI inside has worked together with 77 Bank in the predictive AI area for the utilization of table data to determine the business conditions of loan recipients and promote efficient product proposals in the retail sector. We have been conducting the verification of the generative AI technology since July 2023, prior to this project; we have established a system in which, by uploading unstructured data such as PDF and HTML files, the text recognition AI extracts the content of the descriptions, the LLM (large language model) structures them, and automatically transcribes them in the 77 Bank’s designated format.
Moving further, AI inside will support the implementation of generative AI to a broader range of operations, and promote the introduction of a higher-value-added AI solution with a combination of predictive and recognition AI. Through this project, we will contribute to the company culture reform strategies set in 77 Bank’s “Vision 2030” management plan, to promote the productivity doubling strategy aiming to double the labor productivity in their core business, and encourage employees to take on new challenges in the time saved through increased efficiency.
