Automated Transcription of Fixed Asset Ledgers with 95% Accuracy by Utilizing the Generative AI Function

Tokyo, April 24, 2024 –  AI inside Inc., a provider of an AI platform, announces its support for Sompo Japan Insurance Inc. (hereinafter referred to as “Sompo Japan”) to improve operational efficiency in corporate fire insurance. As a first step, we succeeded in automating the task of extracting and transcribing only the necessary information from a client company’s fixed asset ledger with 95% accuracy by utilizing the generation AI function of the AI agent “Heylix.”

Details of initiatives

The business operator has only to upload the fixed asset ledger to “Heylix,” and “Heylix” extracts and transcribes the information in the ledger on behalf of the operator. Since “Heylix” autonomously extracts the necessary information only, there is no need to pre-process the documents. The generated AI enables highly accurate and sophisticated automatic transcription, which has been difficult to achieve with a rule-based system.

At Sompo Japan, the agencies are responsible for providing customers with information and contracting procedures for corporate fire insurance. In the conventional process, the agency personnel prepared various documents by reviewing and transcribing the customers’ fixed asset ledgers; agencies with a very large number of corporate clients would be required to deal with as many fixed asset ledgers in different formats as there are clients. In some cases, the number of items in the ledgers was enormous, and the review and transcription for each of them consumed an immense amount of time and effort.

Utilizing “Heylix” to develop a system to automate the reviews and transcriptions will significantly improve operational efficiency.
