In form processing, AI-OCR has traditionally been used to digitize paper and PDF forms, after which humans manually reviewed all items and made corrections as necessary.

In industries such as BPO, finance, and insurance, where extremely high accuracy is required, two individuals often check the same forms independently and reconcile differences before forwarding the data to downstream systems.

This process involved manually reviewing dozens of fields per form, consuming enormous amounts of labor and time, and became a major bottleneck to operational efficiency.
 

With the integration of “Critic Intelligence” into “DX Suite,” AI now evaluates OCR results and flags only the items most likely to contain errors, presenting them to users for review. This dramatically streamlines the post-OCR data-checking process.

The technology not only detects subtle errors that humans often overlook but also surpasses manual checks in accuracy. While humans typically achieve an error detection accuracy of only 60 to 80%*2, “Critic Intelligence” recorded a maximum accuracy of 99.92% and an average accuracy of 99.86%*3 in validation tests, far exceeding human performance. Processing time was also reduced by approximately 80%, achieving both high precision and efficiency.
